About Us
Amplifying lost voices
Welcome to our database dedicated to covering missing persons, unidentified persons, and registered sex offenders in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to provide accurate, publicly accessible information to raise awareness, assist families, and support investigative efforts.
Our Mission
We believe that information is a powerful tool in the search for missing persons and the identification of the unknown. By compiling and sharing publicly available data, we aim to provide a centralized resource for information on missing and unidentified persons in the Bay Area, help communities, families, advocates, and researchers access crucial details about ongoing cases, and offer transparency regarding registered sex offenders in the community by presenting legally available data.
Our Sources
All information on our site comes from publicly available databases, including The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS), a government-managed resource that provides case details for missing and unidentified individuals; Public Court Records, official legal documents and case files that provide background information on individuals; and Background Reports, compilations of legally available data from law enforcement sources and government registries. We do not conduct independent investigations but strive to present the most current and accurate information from these sources.
Our Commitment to Accuracy & Ethics
We recognize the sensitivity of the cases we cover and are committed to handling this information responsibly. While all data on our site is legally accessible, we take the following ethical considerations into account: regularly updating information to reflect the latest developments in cases, avoiding speculation, misinformation, or unverified details, respecting privacy laws and ensuring that protected information is not published, and encouraging responsible use of this data for awareness, research, and community safety.
You can report updates if you have verified information about a case that needs updating by contacting us with supporting documentation. Sharing information can help generate new leads in missing and unidentified persons cases. Supporting advocacy groups that work tirelessly to help missing persons and their families is another way to contribute, whether through donations or volunteering.
